In 1991, Bobby Seymour saw a need for quality parts, safety equipment and services within the Northeast racing community. Combining his strong racing background and years of relationships with the industry's top name manufacturers, he opened Seymour Performance Products.
Now, three decades later, Seymour Performance Products has expanded to supply parts, safety equipment and services to racers throughout the U.S., Australia and Canada.
The Seymour name has also been in auto racing long before Seymour Performance Products, beginning in 1965 when Bobby's father, Boston Louie Seymour, purchased a champ dirt car to compete in the United States Auto Club series.
His success in this series as well the USAC sprint series and later on in NEMA midgets, landed him in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa.
Joined by Bobby and his brother Mike, the Seymour family would earn national titles and enjoy over 100 wins in USAC Silver Crown, Sprint Cars and midgets. The tradition continues today, with Bobby and his son Matt competing in national events such as the Chili Bowl, and racing locally in the NEMA midget circuit.
